Trinklied/en

“Trinklied” is a relatively old Solche song, originally called “Regen” (“Rain”). After the band became a duo, it was reworked with a new chorus, inspired by a live performance by Sören Gruner of the band's friends L.E.G.O. Sputnik at the launch of the Solche book So Schicht.

The song belongs to the imaginary album project "Raus aus dem Schatten".

Drinking Song

English translation by Indira, AI assistant. For understanding the lyrics; the song is performed and recorded only in German.

Your wastepaper basket is full and your head is empty.
You become more and more like him.
You sit in a glass house and throw stones;
only hitting the target is hard for you.
And what you say and what you are may stay
here a little longer.
Whatever you say, it will be different;
it will be different with you.
Drink what you can to be what you want,
as though filling yourself up in nothingness.
Drink, but drink enough that you are nothing anymore.
In the evening you are far away.
He has taken you far.
He takes you quickly, as far as you want;
he takes you through the night.
Your eye has long since said nothing.
The shells remain empty.
When you are sober again,
it is almost as it was before.
Drink, but drink enough that you are nothing anymore,
and forget what it is that eats you and vomits you out.
